Unassuming cute little place near a peak Bollywood Swiss scenery. Expect to be greeted with amazing chai pakora to go very well with the surroundings. Highly recommended!
Quelle: GoogleOur Golden Pass express got cancelled due to electrical issues and so we decided to make a pit stop in Gstaad and Saanen for DDLJ nostalgia, enroute to Montreux. We decided to grab dinner here and the place didn’t disappoint! This is surprisingly good food in the Saanen railway station. The menu was small but featured crowd favorites such as vada pav, masala chai, paratha, pakoda and thepla. We got chai, aloo and onion paratha and vada pav. Everything was served fresh and hot. Granted, the thepla and paratha did look like they were from a popular frozen brand but it was cooked to perfection. The crisp Swiss countryside air with the scenic view of this small village added another dimension to the meal. The tea was too strong in my opinion and so my request to management would be to also stock some creamers or offer customers light tea options as well. Zoe was the cashier / employee who helped us and her service was great! A fantastic option to grab some Indian snack bites in a very touristy place.

Despite the late hour, every bite was bursting with flavor and care. The vada pav & chai, Easily the best we’ve had in years—crispy, spicy, nostalgic. But what made the night truly special wasn’t just the food—it was Ritesh himself. He sat with us, shared stories of India, Mumbai, and life, turning a simple dinner into an unforgettable experience. **Food:** 10/10 (vada paio, bhajiya and chai) **Hospitality & Conversation:** Off the charts Thank you, Ritesh, for reminding us why food is more than just a meal—it’s connection. If you’re anywhere near Saanen, do *not* miss this gem.
