In Höxter gibt es ein Sammelsurium an Lokalen. Nun, Montag und schon minimiert es sich auf ein paar Wenige. Ich habe noch nie verstanden, warum die Restaurants alle am Montag Ruhetag haben und nicht zeitversetzt. Nun aber, Montag Anfang Mai. Der Smiling Buddha hatte auf. Für uns ein Wink mit dem Schicksal. Vielleicht wären wir daran vorbei gegangen. Wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Das Lokal war sauber, der Service ausgesprochen freundlich. Die Speisekarte enorm umfangreich. Wir hatten zweimal knusprige Ente, einmal mit Reis, einmal mit gebratenen Nudeln. Beides würden wir sofort wieder essen. Das Servicepersonal, professionell. Da wird ein Tisch mit 10 Personen schon auf einmal abgeräumt. Es wird Teller auf Teller gestapelt, Schüssel auf Schüssel, ein paar Gläser, Besteck, es wird jongliert..enorm. Zwei Minuten und der Tisch ist sauber. Alles mit einem Lächeln. Keiner wartet auf ein Essen. Es wirkt keiner gehetzt. Es gab sogar einen Schnaps aufs Haus. Wer hier einen Makel findet, dem ist es nirgendwo recht zu machen. Hier bezahlt man gerne über 20 Euro für eine Ente. Danke für den schönen Abend. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Noch nie hatte ich in meinem gebratenen Reis mit Gemüse auch wirklich so viel und frisches Gemüse drin. Auch die Cocktails waren wirklich gut. Also wir kommen definitiv wieder.
