Jahrelang fuhr ich als Jenenser in andere Städte, wenn ich in einem indischen Restaurant essen wollte. Einfach weil mir der alteingesessene Inder hier nicht zusagt. Erfreulicherweise kommt nun aber Bewegung in diesen Teil der Restaurant-Landschaft. So war ich bereits zum zweiten Mal Buffet essen im modern eingerichteten Naan-N-Curry, welches im Dezember 2024 in der Wagnergasse neu eröffnet hatte. Vorspeisen-Brot mit Dips, drei wohlschmeckende Hauptgerichte, dazu Reis, gebratene Nudeln und ein Nachtisch vom Buffet für 13,90 pro Person waren mehr als annehmbar. Freilich ohne bislang A-la-carte probiert zu haben, bin ich dennoch zuversichtlich, Jena künftig nicht mehr verlassen zu müssen, wenn mir der Sinn nach indischem Essen in schicker Restaurant-Atmosphäre steht.
