Ohne große Erwartungen hierher gekommen und wirklich zufrieden wieder gegangen. Viel kann ich nicht bewerten, aber das was wir hatten war richtig gut und zu einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Portion Pommes war riesig und auch lecker, hab ich schon viel schlechter gehabt. Highlight war aber der Kaiserschmarrn (s. Pic), absoluter Hammer, fluffig und lecker. Dafür allein lohnt es sich hier hochzufahren. Kommen gerne wieder.

Eine sehr schöne Gaststätte/Berghütte mit tollem Ausblick und sehr gutem Essen. Die Lage direkt neben der Bergstation ist natürlich perfekt für eine Einkehr geeignet. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und auch die Speisen waren allesamt hervorragend. Man kann von dort aus auch weitere Wanderungen unternehmen oder über verschiedene Wege ins Tal wandern. Die Wege gehen teilweise etwas steiler bergab und sind steinig, weshalb gutes Schuhwerk generell zu empfehlen ist. Wer es gerne natürlich mag, kann auch entlang der Rodelbahn auf der Kuhwiese bergab laufen.... mit Tieren/Hunden jedoch aufpassen.... es stehen sehr viele Elektrozäune unterwegs. Kommen sicher wieder, danke.

Die Karkogel Hütte liegt oben direkt an der Bergstation der Seilbahn. Hier kann man lecker einkehren. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen mega Ausblick auf Abtenau und die umliegenden Berge. Der Service war freundlich und echt auf Zack. Empfehlenswert ist der Kaiserschmarrn und der Apfelstrudel mit Vanillesoße. Die Preise sind ortsüblich.
