Restaurant Hilty Stübli in Grindelwald

Super freundliche und herzliche Bedienung, schöne Atmosphäre, leckeres Schweizer Essen. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Käsefondue war nicht ganz nach unserem Geschmack, aber alle anderen Speisen waren großartig und sehr lecker.

Das Essen war gut. Das Personal könnte besser organisiert sein. Niemand war für unseren Tisch zuständig.

Typical local Swiss ambience with typical Swiss food. We booked in advance which is a must in the high season. Our table was signed with our name in this lovely small room decorated typically local. Great food with local products. Choices for Vegetarian and all was tasty. Very nice multilingual service. The only thing was that it was a little slow but this is the price to pay to get fresh made crispy rösti:) - the TripAdvisor score better reflects the experience;)

The worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my life. Terrible service and terrible food. The server got my order wrong after making us wait about an hour and make us wait longer to the point where I had to cancel it. I had to ask them at least five times to get our drinks only to get a rude response from the staff. I ended up not eating anything at all for dinner on christmas day. The table next to us and across us were having problems as well. They made another error in taking orders and refused to remove it from the bill. The staff we’re extremely rude and unprofessional. We ended up paying $37 for literally water, coke zero, and terrible pasta that we did not get an hour later. We’ve been staying in this hotel for the past 3 days and this pretty much ruined the experience for us. Avoid at all costs.

Service disgusting and management rude and don’t take ownership of their mistakes. 5 of us went there last night (Christmas). Food arrived after about an hour and one order was wrong and one order had not been placed with the kitchen so did not arrive. That order arrived about 20 minutes after we had all eaten and was undercooked. It was sent back and asked to be canceled as we wanted to leave. In the interim we had ordered more sparkling water only for still water to eventually arrive. We asked for it to be replaced with sparkling and for new glasses. These were eventually delivered by what appeared to be a manager with severe attitude. What then appeared to be an owner arrived with the 5th meal and we said it was canceled and not required. She insisted we pay for it in any case and we refused. They were rude and non apologetic for the mess. There were at least two other tables near us that appeared to be having similar issues. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN!

Went here for Christmas dinner and was extremely disappointed with the service. The staff was rude with nearly all the guests in attendance, including telling one table a dish would still be added to their bill, after the waitress forgot to cancel the order and the food came out 30 mins after everyone else's food at their table. It was incredibly shocking to hear their response for their error. They went on to tell the guests to pay the remainder of their bill and to leave. Our order was messed up as well. After not wanting to wait even longer for them to remake the correct order, a man came out from the back to ask if we were canceling the remake. When we said yes, he said good and walked away. Other tables waited an hour to get their food as well. I'm not sure if they were just short handed and stressed, but the attitude and overall service was horrible. This was in stark contrast to the hotel staff, as they were always helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend you eat elsewhere. Very expensive prices and bad service will certainly ruin your night.

The worst experience because it didn't even happen. Because of a glitch in their own online reservation system they denied us a reservation in the restaurant and dealt with the situation in the most inappropriate and rude way. "You should have called" as an answer but then why do you even have an online booking system. Avoid with all means possible.

Very friendly service, great atmosphere. The house wine was good, but would be nicer to have a bigger selection for open wines. The Rösti was not so great - not crispy at all and super fatty. Otherwise everything else was good.
