Ich habe das Bootshaus am Dieksee an drei aufeinander folgenden Tagen besucht (Freitagabend, Samstagabend und Sonntagmittag). Das beliebte Restaurant hat eine hervorragende Aussicht auf den Dieksee. Es ist zu empfehlen, insbesondere an den Abenden, im Vorwege einen Tisch zu reservieren. Spontane Besuche sind auch möglich, aber da hatten wir am ersten Tag wohl eher Glück, keine Wartezeit zu haben und haben direkt für die Folgetage reserviert. Die Speisekarte bietet reichlich und ausreichend Auswahl. Meine Auswahl war Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln, Bohnen und Speck, Sauerfleisch mit Bratkartoffeln (s. Bild) und Roastbeef mit Bratkartoffeln. Alle drei Gerichte waren sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Das Personal war sehr nett und kam allen Wünschen nach. Auch der Hinweis, dass wir uns bei der Bestellung etwas beeilen sollten, da kurz nach uns eine große Gruppe ankam, war sehr nett. Bei Ankunft wird einem ein Platz zugewiesen. Darauf weist auch ein Schild hin, allerdings übersehen viele ankommenden Gäste das Schild oder wollen dies nicht sehen. Sollte ich mal wieder in Malente sein, werde ich das Bootshaus auf jeden Fall wieder aufsuchen und direkt vorab einen Tisch bestellen.
